About Us

Grimefighters, inc. owners Sandee and Jim Davis moved to Sarasota, FL from New Jersey in 1979. They incorporated Grimefighters in 1980 with one truck, one truck-mounted carpet cleaning machine and a business telephone line. Within one year, they had 2 employees and 2 sub-contractors working with them and they haven’t stopped growing.

Sandee and Jim’s 3 sons have all, at one point, worked in and for the business during the last 27 years.  Grimefighter’s honesty, integrity and customer service have brought the company into all types of homes, condos and businesses over the years. Property Managers, Real Estate Agents and Insurance Adjusters alike appreciate Grimefighter’s reliable, hard working crews and office staff and their “can do” attitude.  

On their 25th anniversary, Grimefighters moved into their new 5000 foot warehouse/office building on Global Court in Sarasota and are still growing. Carpet cleaning is just ONE of the many services they offer their clientele these days. Tile/grout cleaning, water extraction, structural dry-down, mold remediation, crime scene clean up, water damaged reconstruction are many of  the off-shoots they have expanded to.

One of the biggest changes made within the last 4 years was bringing in Steve Rioux  as General Manager and hiring 3 Project Managers to handle the Water Restoration and Mold Remediation jobs generated each month.

With all this said, Jim and Sandee still recognize and appreciate where they started in this ever growing industry and their loyal clientele.
