How clean is the air in your home? While the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is responsible for the monitoring and regulation of outdoor air quality, little regulation is placed upon indoor air quality. In fact, the EPA acknowledges that indoor air pollution is one of the greatest environmental threats to families and in some cases may be five times as polluted as outdoor air.Indoor air pollution is comprised of three levels: particulates, microbial, and odors/gases.
Particulates include dust, pet dander, pollen, dust mites, and dead skin-think of those tiny specks you may see drifting in the sunlight as it comes through a window. The microbial level includes bacteria, viruses, and mold spores. These agents are often brought into the home from school or the workplace. The third level of indoor air pollution consists of odors or gasses such as pet odors or the harmful chemical gases of household cleaners.
Grimefighters, inc. holds a NATP NORMI certification along with an Advanced Oxidation Specialist Certification. Contact us for more information about improving the air quality in your home or business.
